The detaching was not due to any drops or mishandling on my part; rather, the case design is just shoddy. I was disappointed not only because I paid for a defective product but also because the case was otherwise excellent at protecting my phone. But alas, a half-put-together case was not sustainable, so I trashed the Phone Rebel case and got an Otterbox,
